Our Vision

TP ROBINSON VISION STATEMENT
WHAT DO WE DO?
We help clients to achieve their goals. Our services are therefore goals/results driven. We see it as essential that we are in touch with and discern our clients’ needs and objectives, that we help them find solutions and that we then work with them to achieve those results. First, this means listening to our client and hearing what they have to say. Every client is different and every situation is different. It is therefore important that we listen to what the client is trying to tell us. We will then be able to give to the client advice, guidance, partnership and leadership so that we can start working together towards an agreed goal.
Clients may be individuals, small businesses or large corporations. Each has its own unique agenda and it is our job first to understand what that agenda is. In the case of an individual it may be the resolution of a family problem. In the case of a larger corporation it may be the implementation of corporate policy within the framework of local laws and regulations. We have developed over the years an expertise in providing an outsourced “in-house” service to transnational corporations. This was developed because in many instances the Irish market is too small to justify the setting up of an in-house Irish legal department. We have become used to acting in partnership with UK lawyers who are advising on UK/Irish affairs. In these circumstances we have also become used to taking ownership of issues when so empowered by client, acting in partnership with other service providers.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
We provide a comprehensive range of legal services to both and private and corporate clients encompassing our commercial department with expertise in commercial property, commercial contracts and employment law; our litigation department with expertise in court actions especially commercial litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolutions; and our private client department which delivers mainly conveyancing, family law and probate services to our private clients. Many of our clients are now third generation both private and corporate (the firm was started in 1927) and we believe that the reason we retain these clients is because of our long tradition of service which is based on listening to our clients, understanding their needs and partnering with them to achieve solutions. It is about caring for the client and going the extra mile that is so important. It is client care that builds goodwill and it is goodwill that is the lifeblood of a solicitor’s business.
FOR WHOM DO WE DO IT?
We have acted for many years for a number of transnational corporations providing an outsourced “in-house” legal department with consequent spin off services for individuals within those corporations including family law, probate and conveyancing services. We understand that not everyone is a potential customer in all circumstances and we are happy to refer a client to another firm if this be the client’s need. In addition we have a large number of private clients some of them third generation and we believe that this fact alone manifests our commitment to a client care based service. We specialise in providing small to medium sized businesses with a full comprehensive range of commercial services from incorporation through employment and supply contracts, corporate compliance and so on. We are also dedicated to facilitating larger corporations deliver services in the local market in accordance with corporate policy and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
OUR PEOPLE
We provide a range of opportunities for trainees, legal executives and solicitors. We believe that our employees should work as a team and not in competition with each other. We see this as being in the best interests of the client. We promote a friendly work environment, encourage strong client relationships and we also encourage all our employees to fulfil their potential. We encourage discussion and constructive criticism and (as we listen to our client) we will listen to our employees and we see it as our job to be in touch with and discern their concerns. Any business, large or small, is at the end of the day, a collection of the individuals who work in it. Therefore, just as the overall business is greater than the sum of its parts we believe that each individual should become all that he/she is capable of becoming and should contribute fully to the wellbeing of the firm even as he/she fully shares in that wellbeing.
